The playground is hilly with several bushes, trees and play equipment - all of which provide good opportunities to move around freely and build physical strength. The teachers may at times facilitate games outside.

From spring to fall/autumn the garden houses a variety of insects. During the “high season” countless stones are turned over in search of insects and larvae which the children find very interesting to observe and learn about. When the apples and redcurrants ripen, the children participate in harvesting and preparing them for eating. A small vegetable garden is cared for throughout the summer season before the vegetables are harvested. Children enjoy taking part in these activities.
